For those eager to understand the education system in Tanzania or to leverage their experience for meaningful impact, this project offers a perfect opportunity.

Whether you are a qualified teacher, a student, or a first-time volunteer fresh out of school, you will gain valuable experience and work alongside skilled educators. This role will enhance your knowledge while allowing you to contribute by improving English literacy, building student confidence, and developing vocational skills. Additionally, you will have the chance to learn and refine your Swahili skills.

You are free to choose the age group with which you wish to work, ranging from the baby class to youth. You are also welcome to rotate between different classes.

We encourage you to undertake your own projects or presentations on topics such as environmental issues or climate action. These subjects are still emerging in Tanzania and require increased attention, especially as these children represent the future of our world.

Please note:

• We charge for all programs a Registration fee of 200 USD (on time)
• The registration fee has to be paid in advance before arrival
• The volunteer fee can be paid onsite in USD or Schilling
• We charge an extra fee of 5% if you pay by card
• The communication with your project is trough us before arrival

Accommodation

You can find comprehensive information about your accommodation at We Are One Hostel in the Hostel section.

Your arrival:

We will pick you up from the Airport with a sign where your name and We Are Oneis written on it. Our driver will collect you and bring you straight to the hostel. Our employees from the hostel will welcome you and show you your room.

If you arrive in the morning, our coordinators will be there to welcome you and help you get prepared for the days ahead.

If you arrive at night, you will be warmly welcomed the following morning.

• Working hours: 8.00 – 14.00
• Minimum duration: 1 week
• Maximum duration: 6 month
• Volunteers age 16+
